At what point do we stop using the "GGG is being ducked" excuse?

I dunno. If he was with Haymon, for sake of argument, he'd probably get Quillin/Jacobs and MAYBE Chavez at a later date.

If he was with Golden Boy, he could get Canelo. But to be fair I think he has the same chances of getting Canelo with K2 because it all depends on whether Canelo & Oscar want the fight soon or not. I think once Cotto is out of the way (either by Canelo fighting him, or the Cotto-Canelo fight continues to fall apart for whatever reasons), realistically GGG is one of the biggest fights for Canelo in the upcoming future. So not sure if it matters there.

With Top Rank, they might be able to work their magic a bit more, I don't know.

I have no idea what his contract is with K2. But if possible, if I were him I'd give K2 till the end of 2015 to secure him a big fight. If they don't, and if he's free to walk, sign with someone bigger.

I'm too high on PAC and Floyd fighting to get caught up on other fights not happening. I'm sure things will pan out for GGG and Cotto. both seem to want big fights and it will happen for them again.

I'm only doubtful on Quillin since he doesn't seem interested in any meaningful fights.

I wonder why Canelo did not upstage Cotto, and fight GGG in June? Would have been a boss move but for some reason, no.

Kirkland and that deadline were calling I suppose.

Canelo knows he would get beat down.

But then don't complain at the same time you can't get big fights and fight people like Adama or whoever. When there was a willing name out there who wanted to fight you.
Ward was still tied up with whatever was going on between him and Goosen back then. And he still hasn't had even one of the "couple of tune ups" he said he would need first, so GGG/Ward was never a realistic option, even if it had made financial sense.
