when joe was champ roy was a weight class above him. eubank said himself that he wouldnt fight roy unless roy was a mandatory for his belt. benn, in an article, said roy was too good even for him.

also u have to realize that just like eubank, benn and collins didnt want to go to the us to fight, roy didnt want to go to england or scotland to fight. add in ego's and money and youll realize its logiclly impossible

LOU DIBELLA SAYS RJJ WAS WILLING TO GO TO ENGLAND TO FIGHT EUBANKS, AND HOW EUBANKS IN DECEMBER 1994 WAS OFFERED ALOT OF MONEY TO FIGHT RJJ TO BE ON HBO BUT CHOSE TO FIGHT STEVE COLLINS INSTEAD AND LOST, WHAT CAN YOU SAY TO THAT JUICY???? RJJ V EUBANKS WOULD OF FIGHT OF THE CENTURY BUT EUBANKS TOO CHICKEN **** TO GET IT ON!!

BENN TO HIS CREDIT DID SAY THAT HE WOULDNT FIGHT RJJ IN ENGLAND, THAT HE ONLY WANTED IT IN AMERICA, AND RJJ SAID BENN V MCLENNAN WAS THE "BEST FIGHT SINCE HAGLER V HEARNS" AND THAT HIM AND BENN WOULD BE THE "BIGGEST FIGHT SINCE HAGLER V LEONARD", FACT IS THE FIGHT WAS ARRANGED FOR 50 MILLION DOLLARS BUT BENN SAID WHY RUSH AND WAITED, AND WAITED, AND WAITED, AND THEN LOST TO SUGARBOY MALINGA!!!!!

than he JC wanted Roy so bad he would have stepped up to Roy and fought him. My thing is why if Roy has the titles should he give them up so fight overseas where he was onced robbed. why not JC come to Roy. Roy said in a recent interview that he is willing to go over there this time bc he has no titles to lose if it goes to a decision. but as for JC years ago wanting to fight Roy JC should have grown some balls and came over here to fight. why not?? come on now. you come to the champ the champ dont come to you. come on now.

People think that RJJ is a bum probably because he lost to two people that he was chose to beat including a journeymen.

As for 'unaccomplished and yet to beat a list of credible contenders in his own division', well I suppose the Eubank, Brewer and Mitchell fights didn't happen then? He beat five former world champions, cleaned out the division of those who had the balls to face him, and looked damn good doing so.

Reid, Starie, Sheika, Woodhall, Veit - all very good fighters (unless your Bozo No No, ofcourse). Admittedly the Reid and Starie performances were poor, due to a hand injury. But the Sheika, Woodhall and Veit performances were nothing short of brilliant.

You are outright delusional about what Calzaghe's status was back then.

It's useless to try and talk to you about it, because your mind is in a different state of reality.

He hadn't unified a major title, hadn't beaten a great opponent, and had no overall acclaim to be calling people to come and fight him in his backyard, especially elite fighters outside of the division he was in that contained contenders he hadn't even fought.

You are completley biased, and outright delusional.

And I've told you several times to stop sending me private messages to discuss what's being discussed here. I have deleted them without reading them because I'm speaking to you here. There's no need to be pointing out your deluded non sense in two seperate places.

he clearly won that fight, probably by four or five rounds

i forget how i scored it, id have to watch the fight again, but he convincingly won that fight

it seemed close at first glance, but for me, the more times i see it, the more roy won by
