Solis biggest mistake was to sign with this redneck Oner. Poor Thompson with this idiot as promoter he has no chance to get a big fight, nobody wants to deal with him.

Oner is like an honest slimeball. He airs out some of his dirty laundry. That's almost respectable, but you know he just has that much more stuff he doesn't let known.
Solis has always been too arrogant for his own good. He thinks so highly of himself that he doesn't even have to train. He has a history of pricing himself out of fights, which is just another thing that pisses Oner off.
These two were made for each other. You really couldn't make up a more deserving team pair.

People are going to attack Solis, and he deserves some criticism, but at the same time Oner has managed his career so poorly. Solis was fighting a lot early in his career. 6 fights in 2007, 6 fights in 2008, 3 in 2009, 2 in 2010. He showed flashes of greatness. He was still a bit heavy around then, but he was like 240 as opposed to weighing 260 and 270 for his recent fights. He got the Klitschko fight, got a knee injury then all of a sudden he's barely getting any fights. He needs to stay active. He can't fight once a year. If Tony Thompson is able to get fights left and right then so should Solis.
Also, I'm not pleased with the way he's treating Solis. Solis was the only thing keeping this guy relevant in boxing.

Lotta people down on Solis, and rightly so to an extent, but what about Oner? Talk about totally unprofessional. As bad as Arum dissing Rigo after the Donut Aire fight. You just don't say that kind of b.s. Hopefully Solis finds a place where he's at peace with his life and can live comfortably. Doesn't sound like the sport of boxing is that place, although it's interesting to think of what might have been had he been with better promoter/management/trainer.

You guys need to watch the fight first; any promoter would light Solis up the way Oner did after the performance. Solis was not hurt or in danger at all, he just quit right as the round was about to start. He obviously didn't train and likely doesn't want to box anymore. He took the money out of the fans, promoters, and networks pocket but when it came time to giving the people what they paid for he didnt show up. Fuck Solis.
Oner is scum, but most promoters are. However if I was Oner, I would be saying the same thing. Why waste time promoting a quitter that doesnt even train? Solis is not a baby, he's a grown ass man.
