I firmly believe that if Thompson outlasts Klitschko (meaning Wlad retires before Tony) he can get one of those belts.

The fact is, Vitali Klitschko would have beaten Solis on his worst day and Solis's best. And VK did daze him with a shot to the temple before fat boy's knee gave out. Solis was lucky the fight didn't last past round one.

Solis always said he hates boxing: well, now he doesn't have to worry, he can go open a burger joint and get high on his own supply.

Would have love seeing Oner attack the fat slob after he quit on his stool.

      Cong**** to Tony the Tiger!
I always found this amusing as Solis was clearly wobbled and that caused his knee to sway in both directions and give out. I feel sorry for Ohner(to a point as he had to know that a former 201 pound fighter should never approach 3 bills) as he invested around a million in a signing bonus and thousands in promotional money into an unmotivated Jorge Luis Gonzalez clone. I suspect Solis goes the way of Gonzalez and becomes an opponent for rising prospects and gets violently ko'd by a few before he fades away.....

No Thompson can't beat the elite of the division he is just a gritty gatekeeper type. He couldn't beat Pulev and could never hang with Povetkin.

His losses against Pulev and Takam prove that hes nothing more than a Gatekeeper but good enough to beat the fat spoilsbury toastboy a.k.a Solis.
The end is near for spoilsbury toastboy. Guy is toast. The biggest disapointment for boxing in the last decade. i cant think of an bigger disapontment.

Never liked Thompson more or liked Solis less. Thompson just keeps showing he could've been a champion if he got an earlier start and Solis keeps showing that talent and pedigree don't mean much by themselves. I still hope Solis cleans his **** up but I seriously doubt it.

Thompson is a solid gatekeeper. I missed the first 3.5 rounds but the rest of the fight I had TT in total control. The only good moment I saw solis have was when TT switched to orthodox in the 6th. I never saw the opening rounds so I can't say what happened but I gave TT 5 through 8. Oner was pretty angry & at one point he & solis were forehead to forehead. In the first fight in turkey oner had a few hell's angel as his security around the ring. Oner doesn't look like a guy you piss off. Solis looked in horrible shape. He is done (that says if he makes it out of turkey alive) unless some miracle happens & the right trainer comes along. I think oner dumps him now. If solis continues he needs a new team but who would take the time & spend the money on the solis we saw here?

Yes, I was thinking of that very name for Tony. He is the prospect killa.

Tony Thompson is never gonna be an A-level world class heavyweight but he's made a good living being a perpetual contender. His style is no frills, but he always comes forward and presses his offense. He's not the hardest of hw punchers but he's always on you throwing punches from all different angles.

I'd like to see Thompson vs. Briggs

                    or Thompson vs. Tarver

                    battle of the veterans!
