He lost the big money that a FMJ rematch would have come with, thought twice about getting pounded by Alvarez and will NEVER get in the ring with GGG due to the prospect of a terrible beating. Sergio was barely 25% functional. Go away Miguel.Comment

WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs) will not allow himself him to be pressured into a mandatory defense against Gennady Golovkin (32-0, 29KOs), who owns the WBC's interim title at the weight and the WBA/IBO versions.
Golovkin returned last week in Monte Carlo, where he stopped the WBC's silver champion Martin Murray in the eleventh round of action.
The World Boxing Council is allowing Cotto to make a voluntary defense, but then they expect him to face Golovkin.

Sensing a troll. Especially when your idol is the biggest duck in the history of the sport. 6 years to accept the challenge from Manny who is a SMALLER opponent. A fight Cotto took without a second thought.

Alvarez walked away with his "deadline" and tears of rage in his eyes.
Hopefully, Kirkland does not land a bomb and send him to Chavez Jr land.Comment

Cotto should fight someone in the MW division. I'm okay with him waiting for Floyd/Canelo though for his voluntary, he's got one he shouldn't, not take it, because some people on the internet said not to. WBC gave him a voluntary he has a right to use it, those are the only non-MW that are acceptable in my opinion.Comment
