Any word on Ward? We are already in March.

I thought about this and remembered Chavez Jr's idea which was actually not a bad one . Golovkin should fight Hopkins (or someone at 168) on the under card of Froch-Chavez Jr if that happens. Test the waters with Golovkin on a PPV and set him up to fight the winner of the main event.Comment

a great tune up for ward can be Lara (154) or hopkins (168-170). . i wanna see ggg against someone who wont just stand in one place. ward already flushed two prime years down the toilet i really dont know what his plans are but he needs a fight against anybody soon. since he signed with roc nation hes been quiet, but when he was going through court battles with his promoters he kept accusing ggg of ducking.
where u at ward ?Comment

Yeah, Ward's target was April/May, that ain't happening as he doesn't have anything close and the schedule's filled up. At earliest now will be June (by which time GGG will have fought 2x this year), but he still has no viable options, especially given his financial demands.
Cedric Agnew just lost again, so that option's out the window. He wanted Periban for a couple mill, who was just KO'd by DeGale in 3 and hasn't won in 3 years, but for some reason HBO/Showtime wouldn't pay for it. No more buzz on the proposed Kessler fight.Comment

I honestly think Andre should have signed with Haymon instead of Roc. Haymon has the Dirrell brothers and Chavez jr at least at 168, and Stevenson And some others at 175 that ward could have fought. What's left at 168 for Andre at this point?Comment

ducking ward no need to build up the fight ward is the top fighter in his division and so is ggg just make the fight later this year ward just needs 1 tuneupComment

He'd have to leave James Prince to do that, and remember what happened to Floyd when he tried to leave James Prince? Ellerbe got sent to the hospital and Bob Arum had to pay Prince six-figures to back off.Comment

golovkin's perfect 2015 imo:
q1: murray
q2: lara
q3: lee/quillin
q4: cotto/alvarez OR froch/chavez jr
(q2 or q3 could be replaced by lemieux and i wouldn't be heartbroken)
sets up the ward showdown nicely, and any other year it would likely make him foty (provided he wins them all, of course), but i fear that 2015 will belong to whomever wins between mayweather and pacquiao by default. i really hope he doesn't waste his time on hopkins or take a fight at 168 lbs before he has determined for certain whether cotto/alvarez will ultimately fight him.Comment
