K9 is a decent opponent for the Puerto Rican Day Parade Weekend in NYC. Cotto should be able to win easily, and take another belt in the 154 division. However, Cotto will have to follow up this fight with something big in 2015, i.e., a fight with GGG or Canelo. Now if he was to lose to K9, he's done! If I was Cotto, I would take Khan up on his offer, and fight him in MSG @ a CW of 155. That's a great move! Anything except Bradley and Rios!

I like Cotto, he's been a great fighter over the years but he really hit the jackpot with shot-knees-Sergio. I feel he's in big trouble at middle with all the talk of GGG and Canelo. Bradley is the safest fight in terms of damage taken but I think bradley would beat Cotto. Too much speed and footwork, providing Bradley doesn't come in with some kind of point he needs to prove like in Provo and Chaves fights.

        Well Cotto has 2 choices

        1. Fight K9, if he wins( which he should) then he becomes a 2 division champ and becomes more enticing to Mayweather who can become Undisputed LMW champ( I know he won't have the WBO but Winky didn't and he got that recognition). So the potential for a nice cash out and second crack at Mayweather.

        2. Fight GGG for a very nice purse, if he wins( which I really can't see) it will add to Cotto legacy tremendously and help him in negotiations with Canelo and Mayweather for very good cash out.

Option 1 -Med/low risk, med/Med high reward, potentially high reward

Option 2-Dangerously high risk, high reward, Potentially very high reward

PS there is no option 3 Bradley, Rios and Khan have nothing to offer Cotto it's a lose/lose for all 3

If you think K9 is a decent opponent, then anybody is a decent opponent.

The 2 welterweights hold more name value than him

How is Khan a better option then Bradley?

He's taller. That is seriously all that matters to a lot of people on here. The bigger fighter is more dangerous simply because of that and nothing else, skill and quality have no bearing.

Make some ****in sense when you respond to someone. I've been following Cotto for 10+ years I don't need some clown telling me what to watch. You don't like what I say don't reply.

And they say Cotto picks on cripples.

Not true. He picks on the elderly too!

                  K9. No just no.

Cotto/K9 is one of those fights that I assumed would've happened a while ago, but it just never materialized. Maybe this will be the time for it. Cotto could move down to face K9 for his belt, so he wouldn't have to drop his MW belt.
