I've been thinking about that too - cant make up my mind on it. I thought before the fight that Maidana was going to cause issues for him so I can't quite bring myself to attribute it all to age or deterioration....having said that, I don't think I thought Floyd would look as inaccurate on his end, especially in the 2nd fight. He started well but then got rocked and to me never really got things flowing after that. So it could be just that he was rocked more than we thought just never showed it. I thought he played it off well, I thought he was more hurt than Maidana realized. Anyway, REal disjointed effort by his standards - also career low output. It didn't seem like Maidana was as effective in the 2nd fight but Floyd's face looked more damaged than the first. I still haven't decided myself, be interested to read some Floyd fans thoughts
Maidana never landed anything consistently enough or hard enough to permanently damage Mayweather. The real issue is years of wear and tear, the P4P No.1 is now in his late 30s, no fighter, no matter how good they are defensively can get to that age and not slow down. The same has happened, probably to a larger extent, to Pacquiao but then again, a fighter with his style will always start to fade faster.
He looked better than Manny did against Algieri and Rios , but you got to understand boxing , weights and measure and classes to see that .
Proof will show Floyd dominating Manny on May 2nd , you guys are going to be shocked how easy Floyd handles him .
In what way? Pacquiao won pretty much everyone of those 24 rounds and scored multiple KDs. How did Mayweather scraping past Maidana in the first fight be better than Pacquiao's come back fights?
