Maidana was the WBA welterweight champion, was a top ten contender at 140 as well....has wins over former welterweight titleholders Broner(WBA) and Victor Ortiz(wbc)...also titlists from lower weights Corely,and Erik Morales
and fought elite welterweights like Alexander and Khan


Rios best wins are against @ lightweight and 140....Alvarado, Acosta and never has won a title or beat a top ten contender above 135 not named Alvarado with a loss to Pacquiao and draw with Chaves @ 147....Alvarado was never a top ten welterweight and that last fight they had was sad to see


Therefore at welterweight they are not on the same level and I'd favor Maidana over Rios in a barnburner
