Mayweather has never won a controversial decision

The closest he came to losing was vs. Castillo in a fight that either guy winning or a draw would have been acceptable

Pacquaio getting the dec. in fight 3 with JMM was controversial and it was clear JMM won...I had it 7-5(2x), a draw when I gave pac the four close rounds and 8-4 marquez with the close rounds

Mayweather has had 2 majority decisions in fights he clearly won...Canelo and Maidana 1 and a win over pac is predictable....if its a close fight, Manny is more likely to get the nod because he is the more likeable guy, a crowd favorite, and a rematch may even eclipse money brought in from the first fight

If anyone gets a shaddy decision win it will be Manny

Judges have not done Mayweather any favors in his career...he never needed any....out of 47 fights he may have had 5-6 that we can call competitive(Castillo 1, Jesus Chavez, Ricky Hatton, Zab Judah, Maidana, and ODLH) and all of those except one were clear Mayweather wins
So Marquez got robbed in the 3rd pacquiao fight even though he landed less punches and let pacquiao control the action and be the aggresor? Yeah it did look like they landed about an equal number of punches, but the aggresor will win in that scenario 9/10. The only controversial decision was pacquiao Bradley 1 where pacquiao thoroughly dominated and outlanded Bradley 2 to 1 and basically beat the crap out of him the whole fight. Mayweather on the other hand really was given a gift decision against Castillo, and maidana probably should have gotten the nod, and the de la Hoya fight could have gone either way.

      2. Say that again?

      3. Judah lost every time he stepped it up and who has Corley and Guerrero beaten? Face it, those guys are not world class fighters. They're b/c level fighters at best. Meanwhile, we all know Marquez and Morales more highly skilled opponents who has beaten bigger names than them.

      4. Yeah, Alvarado has been having some brutal matches lately but still, he comes from going the distance with Marquez to getting stopped in three by Rios? And it's not just because of Alvarado's punching resistance waning, it was also because of Rios's power. This pretty much shows that Rios move to welterweight probably long overdue.

      5. Have you ever thought that maybe Bradley has more power than some people think? After all, he darn near dropped Marquez at the end of their last round. Bradley was swinging with the intention of knocking Pacquiao out and it backfired. Floyd isn't gong to be doing that and even if he tried, it wouldn't work. He just doesn't have the power to do that.

Besides, Floyd just got wobbled by a guy who isn't as fast Paquiao and had the spin the whole next round on the defensive as a result of that.
You don't even understand what world class means do you? World class means being a top ten contender in your weight class...Judah was the number 2 welterweight behind Baldomir who he lost his undisputed title to

So Judah wasn't world class when Mayweather fought him? He had just 2 losses and held the WBO and IBF title at 140 before moving up to welterweight and won the undisputed title made a few defenses and lost it to Baldomir

So Morales(2005-2007) and Marquez(2012) are better than Mayweather today?...yea right...The same Marquez who kayoed Pac gets whitewashed by Floyd in 2012 and today

the only way fraud jr beats pac is if he back pedals for 12 rounds and throw pot shots.

but if pac lands his combinations then no way in hell fraud wins this fight.

I'm intrigued by this fight mainly because I wonder: CAN Pacquaio do anything meaningful against Floyd? I really don't know. I tend to doubt it, but he IS amazing.

But...his head is all over the place, where Floyd's is ONE place. He's a boxer.

And Floyd's got more frame and reach. Pop, pop. He's got the speed. Most of all he's got knowledge and cunning at a super refined level, in his bones, in his DNA.

Pac MAY be able to score points, but at some point I believe everyone will know that Manny will HAVE to go for the KO to win.

            That will very interesting.

fights are scored round by round not by punch totals which are flawed cause fighters get credit for grazes and taps in a punch count but when scoring the round clean solid punching is what wins it.

fight totals don't reflect what went on per round or the quality of the punches. 2-3 big rounds can make a fighter catch up in total punches landed even though round to round they were losing clearly

Hell of a lot of the punches merchant was screaming about were clear misses

Mayweather vs ODLH was clear as day 8-4 or 7-5 if you think ODLH won you need to have a crash course in scoring fights

same as Maidana who maybe won 4-5 rounds but you cant even legitimately come up with 7 rounds Maidana won.

If you think Mayweather got a gift decision I can only imagine what you think of Marquez-Pacquiao 3....Mayweather Castillo was a draw or a 1-2 pt win for either guy...that's no robbery and Floyd took care of business in the next fight...Manny doesn't have one clear win over JMM in 4 fights so that alone should show you that he isn't the best at adapting.

Actually watch the fights and score them instead of regurgitating some stuff you heard someone say and fight totals don't tell the story of fights

Absolutely. That's his best bet, and I hope Roach is on the same page.

"He got knocked out doe" aside, that's the strategy he needs. The constant head movement / feints really threw Marquez off for the majority of that fight. If he settles down for too long at a time Floyd will just start picking him off.

You're talking about ranked and you know that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking specifically about skills and Judah was not one of the top guys when it comes to skills. Seriously, listen to what you're saying; he lost to Baldomir. A clear indication right there that Judah is not elite.

Did I say Morales and Marquez were better than Mayweather? No, I'm saying they're A level opponents, unlike Judah. No need to pretend that Pacquiao didn't beat Marquez in any of the other fights before 2012...and no need to overrated Floyd when he struggled against another A level opponent (Cotto) in that same year.

But Pac has to watch out for that foot stomping technique too.
