Ok but I don't get how the next logical step is for Kovalev to do no testing at all.

Because Duva's cheap and doesn't want to pay for it. Pretty sure that's why she rejected Pascal when Pascal offered. It wasn't until Kovalev got pissed and said, "I'm clean, go ahead and test me," that Duva said she would accept VADA since Pascal was willing to pay. Pascal wouldn't pay though, so it didn't go anywhere. So screw him. Don't put that offer out there if you didn't mean it.

I think her thing was that VADA is more stringent and has actually caught people with their testing.

I think it's a damn shame that there's no organized Independent testing for this fight. It seems to me the parties where not that far apart. It would have been a fine message to send to the boxing fans.

Ok then if she believes in that and has such strong principles over it, then why isn't she paying for it? Or why isn't Kovalev paying for it?

You can't say you don't want drug testing at all and then suddenly develop a conscience over which agency is more stringent.

Because he made his point, he (or his camp) basically said "You wanna pay for the doping test, go ahead and test me, i've got nothing to hide". Pascal on the other hand proved he was all talk.

No matter who we think is primarily to blame, the fight doesn't have testing at all, which is not acceptable.
