Floyd will be on the defense for the majority of the fight. I see him trying to smother Pac's work. He will be too focused on trying to negate Pac's offensive arsenal and as a result it will limit his own punch output.

Pac isn't a guy that stands right in front of you to be hit. He uses lots of lateral movement and punches from weird angles. Floyd wont commit until he has his opponents figured out. The interesting thing here is to see how long it takes him to figure Pac out. The key for Pac would be to get as many early rounds in the bank as he can. Floyd doesn't usually turn it up until midway thru the fight. If Pac can bank 4 of the first 6 rounds and then give Floyd hell down the stretch, he can very well win this fight.

LOL @ Floyd being on the defensive most of the fight. You guys are in for a shock. The funny thing is Mayweather Sr is basically telling you the fight plan, just like he did against Maidana II. Wouldn't be surprised if Floyd shuts him up again. But either way, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that against southpaws, a conventional will typically come forward.

I remember In an interview for mayweather/Canelo promo Shane Mosley was stating that Floyd does have deceptive power. I say is enough to catch your attention and keep you on your toes. Is a combination of speed and accuracy, and its those punches that you don't see coming.. he had decent power at lighter weights like when he fought corrales but it's been a while since he had a significant stoppage... Hey but you never know??? With them ariza shakes on deck, he might get brutal power

Sr also said that if Pac were to hurt or drop Floyd he's stopping the fight right there and then! LOL.

Mayweather tends to let his foot off the gas. Rounds 6-8 of Mayweather-Mosley I. Mosley was very close to being stopped. He's in the corner, going in and out of something (consciousness?) while they're pouring cold water on his head. Meanwhile, Richardson is talking about stopping the fight.

Mayweather has been fighting bigger fighters than Pacquiao for some time now. Maidana, Canelo, even the 154lb. Cotto. Again, Pacquiao has been fighting light hitters since his KO. It's going to be a different ballgame against Mayweather. And finally, Mayweather is going to come forward. Like he does against every southpaw. Like most conventional fighters do against southpaws (hello?). Whether that helps or hurts him is your opinion but to think he's going to be backing up is just dumb.

I believe Jr.'s power is respectable, but Pacquiao has tasted plenty harder shots before and still took risks.

You think in the biggest fight of his life he's going to back down? Not a chance.

I'm predicting the Pacquiao of old as far as workrate goes and aggression. Whether or not that benefits him as he can get careless remains to be seen but let's not forget, it was the workrate and aggression that got him to greatness.
