June 13. 6 weeks. Would have been better than may.
If Floyd would have fought anyone else, that would have been on his team to decide.
June may be better, but you can either afford it or you can't.

Cotto also had a good chance at beating Canelo, but I don't think he's interested in the possibility of getting his ass stomped out by a Mexican at the point. And if he won? People are going to say he just beat a hypejob that Floyd exposed anyway.
Yeah, it was a lot of money. But any fight Cotto is in is going to be a lot of money.

The fact is that Canelo and Cotto both werent commited to fighting each other.
Canelo tried to use Cotto as a pawn to help him get the May date.
Cotto is all about keeping his options open, he has no preference as long as he gets things his way.

Now let's say Floyd and Manny went different ways, Oscar was gonna go ahead with his PPV against Cotto on May 2nd also, unless you read something different.

Canelo didn't know Floyd Pac was getting made
Cotto didn't know Floyd Pac was being made
Cotto didn't know if he was going to get a rematch with Mayweather.
Cotto knew a fight with an amount of money he had never made before and an amount of money he might never be offered again was on the table and he didn't take it.
Who even know if he would have accepted it had Canelo waited, those words can straight from Cotto's advisor. He might have, might not.
It just looks like he really didn't want the Canelo fight.

Everything you guys are saying is probability. Probably this, possibly that.
What we know is that Cotto was going to get a career high payday regardless of what transpired and he didn't jump on it.
