Exactly. Ward fans want to see a matchup between two of boxing's best while Golovkin fans want to avoid that matchup like the plague.

You also have to take into account the damage a golovkin victory would to do the popularity of boxing for the feral ****** crowd like shoulderroll. 168 would immediately become "the worst in its history" (like everything else from 160-heavy) when Golovkin won.

I am happy to say he'd beat anybody including Klitschko if it makes people happy, just keep all the talk of Ward fights in theory.

He can be so hard to watch. If he fights a puncher like Miranda was or Kessler was, he's gonna hug the guy to death. He gets a little better at times (he wasn't as clinch happy against Edwin) but there's always the risk of the clinchfest and stinking out Oakland on his way to victory. He's a sharp puncher not necessarily a hard puncher so unfortunately there probably won't be any early nights.


His layoff has been great for boxing!
