Why does Ward-stans want GGG to move up?

why do Ward fans act like GGG (or his team) actually turned down a Ward fight??
You cant turn down something that was never offered in the first place. GGG's promoter was asked a question at a press conference about Ward and he gave his opinion that he doubted enough revenue could be generated to make the fight. And the Ward fanatics took that to somehow mean GGG was afraid of Ward? uhmmmm, okayyyyyyy
Meanwhile Ward, who has already cleaned out 168, fights a tuneup every 18 months and sits around waiting for 160 pounders to move up. Nice lolComment

I want GGG to move up so Ward can fight him! After they fight I want Ward to move up. I don't see what's wrong with wanting Ward to fight both. I like GGG, and it's obvious that no1 at 160 is a match. Everyone is not a hater! I just want to see GGG vs Ward before Ward leaves the division. Then I'll want to see Ward move up and fight Kovalev/Adonis. But damn, it feels like I'm the only GGG fan that wants to see him move up and get real credit against credible opponents.Comment

Ward/Froch also tried to fight Chavez Jr. for the same reason that 3G tried to. Chavez is a relatively easy fight for good money.Last edited by kiaba360; 02-22-2015, 08:53 PM.Comment

Light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson and super middleweight champion Andre Ward are planning to face each other in September in a match of two of the best fighters in the world.

"I am ready to fight the best 168- and 175-pounders that are out there," Andre Ward told ESPN.com in a recent interview.
"At this point, a big fight at 175 is interesting to me. I don't want to go up just to go up. But for the right fight, for a big fight, I would go up. I'm willing to fight anyone at '68 or '75."

Ward walked into his last fight at 176, unofficially; Kovalev walked into his last fight at 190.
The moment that Andre Ward walks into a fight, unofficially, at 181 is probably the moment that sweating down to 168 no longer makes sense.
Ward and Golovkin are basically the same size; though Ward is taller/longer.Comment

I want both to move up along with the Undisputed 155lbs king Canelo, Danny Garcia, and Rigondeaux.Comment
