Its really simple-a lot of the GGG fans are also fans of Kovalev. They want Ward to lose and they think Kov has a better chance of doing it then GGG. SO they push for one fight over the other.

The guy whose first port of call on this forum is to laud Bernard Hopkins' performance against Joe Calzaghe complaining about clinching and cheating?

          Rly, bro?

This is the same guy who signed to fight Chavez Jr at 168lbs. His manager has said they would fight Carl Froch at 168lbs.

But the Ward fight needs a catchweight? Wow...total PR disaster for the supposed most feared man in boxing.
are chavez jr and froch cheaters who clinch constantly and don't allow their opponents to throw punches? no so maybe there's your answer. win or lose ggg vs chavez and froch would be fair.

So in conclusion, GGG die hards just aren't interested in this fight and fear this matchup. They want Ward to move up to eliminate the possibility of this fight ever happening. That's good to know.

Kovalev doesn't have much of a shot against Ward, I genuinely feel that way. Golovkin on the other hand does, possesses the skills to tangle and so I want to see it. That should answer the question.

Ward vs Kovalev is good but I can wait. Stevenson vs Kovalev is what I want to see ASAP.

                    Oh that's right, Kovalev.
So a Ward/GGG fight has no value? If GGG is unwilling to fight Ward, his handlers should STFU

i never said hopkins had a great performance. i said that he won because he landed all the clean punches. also ward is much much worse than hopkins. why are you labeling everything as equal? some people are worse than others but acknowledging that would hurt your case so i guess its easier for you to just call them all clinchers and let ward keep doing it now that you don't like ggg. during the hopkins fight you said something along the lines of calzaghe won because hopkins kept clinching and didn't want to fight, and you can't give rounds to guys who clinch so much, but now that ward has the chance to clinch-hug ggg to death you are all for it? just be consistent.
