YES he has...and he was cheering for him. His name is Manny Pacquiao.

Floyd wanted it to look like he made an offer, but anyone in the industry knows it wasn't legit

Even if that is true who cares, the first time this fight almost got made was because Floyd needed bread. Now maybe Manny needs bread but whatever good thing he saved this fight in his back pocket he can clear his markers and be good for the rest of his life.

Whether you think it was legit or not, he picked up the phone and called Manny Pacquiao. He had no reason to. The idea that the person initiating contact is avoiding the fight and the one turning them down wanted it is delusional. Was it a good offer? No. But again it was Floyd trying to make the fight happen. But guess what? It is happening. So let's focus on that and offer kudos to both sides. Time to let all that go.

I can't believe how large these guys live. I would be investing and socking away so much for rainy days that I wouldn't even think about working for someone else after my first 50 mil.

Guess we are lucky they like to spend.

Boxers have always lived large, I guess if I boxed for a living i might have a whole different spin on how to spend money. A boxer is cashing in their health for money, so to get optimum enjoyment out of said money having ones health is key.

That is a delicate balance between enjoying your spoils properly and having enough for when things go south. You would figure those guys would have enough to make it work but it is easy to lose sight of reality and nobody ever thinks the ends is coming quickly.

Floyd launching a pre-emptive strike hoping to distract people from the fact that he's been holding up this fight forever and was even floating a Cotto fight in May at the last minute to see if he could find a way out.
