Why should the most popular Mexican fighter give up traditional Mexican dates to Mayweather? Mayweather doesn't own those dates. They are just days on the calendar. Canelo is moving for the big one but he may fight on the same day as Mayweather in September unless there is a Pacquiao-Mayweather rematch.

Obviously the dates means something to both of them. And if they both want it, then it should go to the more deserving of the two. In another words, it should go to Mayweather.

I've said it before Oscar knew that May 2 was never really in play if by chance May Pac didn't happen he still wouldn't get the date. I think this was all or spin to convince the public Canelos on that level when he clearly couldn't do it in the ring. It's not your call or my call. It's up to Canelo and Oscar. If they want to fight on the same day Floyd fights it's a free country and there is not a damn thing Mayweather can do about it regardless of his win over Canelo. If they did fight on the same day what the hell difference would it make? Would the world explode? Are you that concerned with millionair Mayweather not making the maximum amount of money possible? Let them fight on the same dates and the fans can decide who they want to see the most. I promise you they will both make lots of money.

You clearly hate Canelo but he is one of the biggest money makers in boxing. He is not wanting the dates to get even with Mayweather. He would rematch Mayweather at the real 154 pound limit anytime. He moved his fight so quit your crying. People bash Cotto because he not only won't fight Canelo but he won't defend his middleweight title against anybody. When Cotto finally comes off his vacation of over a year he will almost certainly defend his middleweight title against a welterweight.
