The reason that the slaps bother me is that I know, first hand, what that **** feels like. It is not a compounding blow as is a regular, legally thrown shot. But it is a damaging shot when it comes to cuts and swelling, and it does jar your brain a bit.

Take your right hand and put it next to your face. With the heel of your palm, smack it into the side of your face. The **** hurts man. Now, pound it into your face. Thats why the slaps bother me so much. Basic bone, covered with leather and tape, smacking into somebodies face. Its a **** punch.

Have some respect for Rockin, who did what most here can only dream about with his pro career. You may not agree with him, but that's no reason to personally attack the guy. It's one thing to debate boxing, but when you start with the personal attacks you're just escalating things to an unneccesary level.

Personal attacks are gay but just because he fought as a pro does not mean he is not to be questioned...

sorry to expose your lack of knowledge...lol jokin obviously.
well my point was its down to the ref to actually implement the
more dubious areas of the boxing rules, like holding & hitting,
slapping, hitting behind the head etc. they didnt against lacy
in his previous fights, didnt for calzaghe in this fight, as they
didnt for ricky hattons fight with kostya tsyzu etc etc etc
