Rockin' on Calzaghe/Lacy - Toney/Rahman

Have some respect for Rockin, who did what most here can only dream about with his pro career. You may not agree with him, but that's no reason to personally attack the guy. It's one thing to debate boxing, but when you start with the personal attacks you're just escalating things to an unneccesary level.

Excuse me, but Morales is only a year or two older than PAC. Morales isn't even 30 yet or wasn't even 30 when he fought PAC in those 2 fights.

I was not comparing Morales' and Pacs age. I was talking about a young fighter who has not been through the wars that Morales has been through.

You could be 25 years old, only have fought maybe 15 or so times, and yet be considered old and damaged goods because of the wars that you had to wage through.

The more I am jumped on for what ever observation or statement that I may make, the more I wonder what the **** most of these people on here even know about boxing. If you watch the fight with Cal/Lacy you will blatantly see the slaps. Yeah he fought a good fight but I would not crown him PFP anything yet. Lacy is a relatively young and inexperienced fighter so far. I mean, look at his resume, who did he beat that made him the man that would then make Cal the man for beating him. He beat nobody of any great significance.

I can appreciate all the brits loving the guy. I mean, how often is it that you guys actually get to brag about now that Lewis is gone. In my opinion, I am being jumped on by these people who have obvious biased opinions, as is common when dealing with fighters from your territorie.

However, I watched the fight completely unbiased. I honestly could not have given a **** about Lacy or Cal, I of course dont want either seriously hurt, but it did not matter to me who won the fight. I just wanted to see some good boxing with some buddies of mine. Calzaghes slaps bothered me so I mentioned it.

If the fight had not been in Wales, I wonder if the ref would have called him on it. There were plenty of oppertunities to call him on it.

how can you slate calzaghes slapping when lacy has hurt so many
fighters by hitting them to the side & back of the head, especially
behind the ear, those are incredibly dangerous shots that do damage

By looking at your previous posts, I can only conclude that you know **** about boxing.

Also,if you read the rest of what I said in the previous post you would see that I clearly stated that I dont honestly give a **** about either fighter. I just wanted to see a good fight.

So in all, you can continue attempting to prove your prowess on the board. From your previous posts I see that you know little about the sport, even less about the game, and little that can enlighten me to anything having to do with boxing. So as you brits like to say PISS OFF *****!!!! The ***** part I added to give it alittle american flare.

You must be one of the lacking people in the British society. Not only do you lack the class that most of your country displays but you lack basic reading and cognative skills to disect a simple statement. I, no where in my statement, said that it was a bad fight. I just said that I wanted to see a good fight with my buddies. You obviously cannot stand with me on the boxing front so you decide to take it to another. However, your lacking cognative skills leave you wide open for easy counter shots. Kind of like what it would be like to slap a ******. Step off!!!

He never said it wasnt a good fight only that he watched it not as a fan of either but just looking for a good fight. Also I think that Calz totally whipped him and I also saw the slaps but they didnt bother me as much. However he gave a well thought out opinion on why it bothered him. Then he gets slammed because he spoke something other than praise for Calz, I mean talk about intolerance, how quickly did this debate digress into "your talking out your arse you ugly american"? Seriously, he is giving us the insight of a pro someone who has actually fought, I personally dont agree with him in that those, "slaps" didnt, bother me or detract from my enjoyment of the fight but he may feel differently than I do.

I played football highschool and college so when I look at a game I see things differently than most fans and appreciate the intricacies better than most.

To the other point about an old or young fighter could be seen in Vargas, not alot of fights but when he should be in his physical and boxing prime he is clearly on the down slope after having tremendous battles with Trinidad and ODLH.
