In all fairness Arum is the one name dropping welterweights because that's all he has. Cotto is a free agent and can fight whoever. So just cause Arum name drops Bradley and Rios doesn't mean that's the direction that team Cotto will go.

Cotto's legacy was established well before he beat Martinez. Abel needs to fall back, Cotto winning the MW strap was simply icing on the cake.

Cotto fought the best fighters of his generation at his weight and then in moving up to each class, Mosley, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Martinez, the man is legit.

Abel is salty because GGG is 33-34 years old and has yet to have a fight of note. Where was he when Pavlik, Taylor, Hopkins, and Martinez were making noise at 160?

All that time he could have been fighting these guys and he wants to show up after they are out and a new crop of guys are coming in trying to make a name for themselves and start calling out fighters like he is a superstar?

Quillin, Jacobs, Liemuix, Saunders are all about to go around GGG and the likely-hood of him getting a shot against any of the four is slim to none. He is not on the docket and doesn't fit into any of the plans for any of them.

Lets face it, whoever wins between Quillin and Lee, that's who everyone will be going after.

If Cotto never fights GGG it's because he knows he'll lose as done everyone else. Cotto might drop the belt to not fight GGG, who knows but there is no reason to see that fight we all know the outcome. As for Able he should really just shut the **** up really, I love GGG he's a beast and the real deal but honestly, if no one wants to fight you move the **** up because there are a lot of fights there.

Sanchez has Rigo syndrome or something... Complain no one wants to fight you because you're too good, then b*tch saying I won't change my style or my weight. Well, life isn't fair Abel you can't have it both ways move up and make more or stop b*tching and clean out the division.

No one besides Cotto haters would care if Cotto relinquished the belt instead of fighting Golovkin. Most people who actually care don't care about Cotto in particular, they just care about Golovkin getting his shot at the lineal title to make it "official" that he's the best MW in the world.

So you basically wrote all that to say that everyone will duck GGG and its ok?

and he turned pro in 2006...why are you mentioning Pavlik,Hopkins and Taylor?
