Premier Boxing Champions on CBS will air in conjunction with marquee SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING events as part of a partnership that will cross-promote the live programs across multiple platforms.
The first six weeks to begin this venture will feature two of the biggest names in the sport—Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and Adonis Stevenson—and bookend this year’s most anticipated boxing event, the SHOWTIME PPV® presentation of the undisputed pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather.

So far tis year, other than LSC/Rigo-which the most posters placed blame on Rigo for the fight not happening- the fights he has done and planned are quality fights.
At what point do you base 2015 on 2015?

It is interesting to note that while all these time buys being announced, the biggest name in Haymon's stable to have a fight announced during this time is Chavez Jr., and he's fighting on Showtime.
Much of what the CBS deal looks to be about is selling the Mayweather pay per view and publicizing the Showtime boxing brand.
Saturday afternoon fight cards aren't exactly a game-changer.

You really have to applaud Haymon. Yeah he might put some bullshi.t matchups throughout but he is bringing a ton of fights and as a fan ya gotta love it.

There's still a place for promoters in boxing.
Haymon lives on the TV side of boxing.
Much of his success has been the way he has gotten money and dates from HBO and SHO, and the way he manipulated GBP, not for building stars that can sell tickets and pay per views.
People are just assuming that this PBC will produce those kinds of stars because the events are on televison...but Haymon has been getting his fighters on TV for years, and it hasn't translated into stardom for many of his fighters.
We'll see how much that changes now that NBC and CBS and ESPN are also involved.
