This article has nothing to do with HBO breh. It is solely about ESPN Friday Night Fights and it's replacement with PBC Boxing, which will only be once a month instead of weekly.

When was I talking about HBO?

Obviously I was only speaking about the topic at hand, Friday Night Fights. Boxing once a month on ESPN isn't cool any way you slice it. Again, many a fighter with no big promotional backing/management made a name for himself on FNF's which opened doors for that fighter. This will now be gone and now limited to Haymon only fighters.
you debating on Floyd groupies, what do you expect?! anything associated with Floyd is great and anything else are garbage for them.

I know, I'm simply offering a suggestion to address your points. Replacing a large number of minor fights with fewer quality fights isn't a terrible thing. There is room to expand. Those fighters loss could be our gain.

Boxing 3/4 times a month > boxing once a month

You're talking with someone who watches solo boxeo with the volume off so yeah, I get it. But like someone said a couple weeks ago in the FNF thread-can't believe I'm waiting on Sergio Mora (or something like that).

There is still room for a Provodnikov type to make it off ESPN to the big time. But yes, there will not be "diversity".

I actually grew up with a kid who got on an FNF in a walk off bout. Stuff like that will be missed.

Maybe once a month on ESPN but there will be quite a few on all of Haymon's other platforms.

I'm sorry. So Haymon gets rid of FNF, which is 3-4 shows a month in favor of one per month? Main reason why I cancelled my SHO subscription. Fights are slow to come. This is a bad idea.

Hopefully he also expands the better divisions like 120/126 and Cruiser.

I understand there are other platforms, and that's great for those channels, but not ESPN and the guys who aren't with Haymon.

True. Again Haymon didn't make it big in music by forcing fans to see whack ass concerts. I just hope for the best.
