LOL. That's a terrible rumor. He was probably caught up with drugs/illegal activity. Better to be called a ****, than admit to criminal activity.

Regardless, I doubt the smaller GGG takes too many flush Kovalev shots at 175 whereas we've seen multiple MWs take Golovkin's punches for multiple rounds.
Surely if GGG was in camp he was shedding weight for a fight, Kovalev wasn't and would have been weighing around 180+. Surely that size difference would have made significant difference. Golovkin to me can eat punches he hasn't shown any sign of a weak chin, Kovalev has been buzzed hard by old Bhop. So if it did end in a tear up GGG would be the more durable one.

Interesting, still I see KOvalev knocking out GGG if GGG decides to move up to LHW.

Agreed. Sparring is sparring and Kovalev has seemingly improved a lot since.

This. As a side note...I hope Abel isn't encouraging gym wars. He's a good trainer and such nonsense should be beneath him. Sparring is for learning and getting better, not for upholding machismo.

Only one way to clear this up

I would love to see GGG move up to 175 and have Kovalev clean his clock.

I agree. A sparring session from years ago has no relevance to what would happen today in an official prize fight.

Unless you're playing the latest edition of the "Fight Night" video game, not gonna happen. each guy has their own fish to fry. This happened in sparring...it's not a big deal. Merely something to keep fans talking.

And it's a bit ironic you would 'lol' at anybodys sig, as your ******ed sig with Jay Z lording over Oscar and the rest is incredibly embarrassing. It's also fugging ******ed since anyone with a brain would know Jay Z is nowhere in the boxing world.

But mentally ******ed people have never been know for sharp thinking. But please keep 'lol'ing! It's so original and smart, and its a great comeback.
Lol wtf I'm not even in the argument im just reading the thread and laughed his sig with freedom. Go protect someone else
