The past is the past but it is kind of funny that's he's requesting this considered what he's turned down previously.
But yeah, it's a non issue. Floyd should accept this request.
He's in the wrong if he turns it down.Comment

I think Pac is going to sit on this like fat lady eating a doughnut. No way Pac backs out. Pac team knows Money wants that 2 of May for his fight so he can shove it in Oscars face. So Pac will wait until Floyd makes up his mind. Team Pac knows that Floyd loses a lot of money if he goes with out pacman as a opponent on that day. Fight tours should have already started if May was going to fight anyone else. Money learned the hard way announcing the Guerrero fight so late. It killed promotions and Money lost a lot on money that fight. So this is just another step in negotiating for this fight. The fight is going to happen but with the amount of money involved and technicalities it may take the rest of this month.
The fight is already promoting its self with all the publicity it is getting by not being signed and all the rumors. Be calm young men and young gals. It's business! Ohh expect a high ass PPV cost.Comment

Yes, i would. It's not that hard to see that Floyd isn't an easy person to negotiate with especially when you're around his level of stardom and PPV draw like Manny is. Like it or not, he has earned the right to make certain demands, but he does tend to go a bit overboard and let his ego get in the way. From what we've learned thus far, both sides have agreed on the date, split, location, etc. If the fight doesn't happen this time around, then we'll definitely find out who is solely responsible.
There are far bigger players who are involved in negotiations than Haymon and Arum. Those guys care more about their reputation and will throw anyone under the bus to save their own asses if they have to. They will not hesitate to say who deserves the blame. The networks have all the leverage and if they are willing to work together, then the fight would've been announced by now or we'd find out right away who doesn't want it to happen. I just hope that HBO doesn't try to protect team Pacquiao and make up lies for them.
HBO has the leverage to tell Arum to F off and force him to run elsewhere for all of Pacquiao's future fights, but Arum knows he has the second biggest draw in boxing right under his wings and can play hardball with HBO too. Bottom line, if Showtime/ HBO can't come to an agreement, then i hope they will at least be honest enough to be on the same page and release the name of the person or people who is/are responsible.Last edited by Carpe Diem; 02-16-2015, 06:06 PM.Comment
