It's funny how the boxing fans on this forum, with no insider sources whatsoever, sit here and bash Dan Rafael... the same people who rely on ESPN and other biased media outlets for information. As for who i believe...espinoza and lance pug.

Espinoza is hated by the network fanboys but in real life he has the most to gain and lose on this fight. He wont jeopardize his career for Floyd but many thought USADA would ruin their worldwide rep for him so i guess there will still be those. And lance just seems neutral.

Rafael is being bashed because he is blatantly not doing his job, which is to be a credible, unbiased NEWS journalist. He has proven himself not to be. He hasn't reported any NEWS, constantly given his OPINION, which isn't his job, and is very clearly only getting his information from one side.

For people like you and me it doesn't require but they want and need to get a certain quota as the guarantees will be high. If you were a business man that had something to do with this, you would want to have as much time promoting this as possible. That is if you are being objective about it. Casual fans have no idea that there is even a negotiation going on.

I am a business man and if i can save millions on a promotion that requires non i will do just that.

Right. It still seems it's a matter of floyd pulling the trigger. Putting "pen to paper " is not relevant to announce the fight as done. Written contracts are seldom signed prior to the announcement of major fights.

Dan said on ESPN, per the Pacquiao camp they say he has put pen to paper. Call it false reporting but he did say per his camp.

No its not that hes been reporting a TON of inaccurate information, its just sloppy and bias. He hears something from the Arum side and automatically reports it as fact without checking with his other sources first, then he gets corrected and has to backtrack and edit his articles. He just assumes floyd side is lying, and Arums side is always truthful and he openly supports Arum by spreading his false info while mocking Floyd. Im not sure if you kept up with but for months hes been mocking floyd on twitter trying to rally fans to bombard floyd with tweets saying "#Floydsignthecontract" and making jokes about the situation, and THEN Pacquaio side finally stepped out and admitted there was never a contract. Instead of eatting crow, Dan once again believed a false report of Pacquiao signing a contract and here we are again.. as Pacquiao once again just denied there being a contract.

This is another reason why boxing sucks. Information from the "horses mouth" cant even be relied upon. I mean, if Dana White told a reporter that, "Hey we're going to make fight X with fighters Y and Z", no one would feel the need to find out further information.

But boxing is run by all these shady characters make everything complicated.
