i think it's common with thai fighters because the guys making their debuts are usually already domestically established in other martial arts. western style boxing is not as popular as kickboxing or muay thai is over thereComment

I believe he rehydrated up to 127 or so recently. In fact, I posted about it but I'm far too lazy and drunk to give a sh@t right about now
Rigo in the ring is 125 or so but regardless you can not compare, at all. Rigo is a fighter you can't afford to give any advantages and not only does Rigo thrive off counters but he will actually be the bigger man, for once.
Regardless Roman stated himself, the weight he gained on that occasion was far too much and hence his sluggish performance. He also feels like he gets tagged way too much by lesser opponents, this is coming directly from Roman himself. Now, a fighter is acknowledging his own flaws... do you actually believe he would even consider a fight against a bigger more technical fighter whom can outbox him from a distance comfortably due to his speed, height, power, reach and countering advantages?
Roman is a great fighter but I believe 115 is his limit, 118 is a stretch.Comment

Exactly. I watched two young men making their debut at the same time but I would have had no idea they were so green due to the manner in which they fought. In their very first fight they already had a defined style with one leaning towards the backpeddling counter puncher and the other young man as the comeforward, ring cutting brawler. Stupendous fight among two evenly matched newcommers that were only able to acquire such styles so early on due to their previous ventures in Muay Thai kickboxing.Comment

I'm a fan of Gonzalez, but just because you are moving up in weight and you want to fight a guy with 28 Losses, that's ridiculous. Even if you do have a fight with that dangerous foe at the end of the year. No body wants to see you fight a guy that has tasted defeat 28 times.Comment

I love Gonzalez. After Money Mayweather he is my favorite fighter and I believe he will be P4P king after Floyd.
I think this is a smart move for Gonzalez. A tune up bout at the weight for his next world championship in a new division. A fight back in his home city of Managua will keep the home fans happy while the big fight later in the year will take place in his 2nd home of Tokyo where he has developed a large Japanese fan base.
Inoue better be ready because Chocolatito will knock him out.Comment

Criticism-the mark of a Champ. Read the article again, they tried to get a better opponent...clearly says he was the only one willing to face himI'm a fan of Gonzalez, but just because you are moving up in weight and you want to fight a guy with 28 Losses, that's ridiculous.
