I'm not really trying to bad mouth Chocolatito. But I'm just curious. When was the last time any belt holder fought someone this bad?

I have to agree, a p4p level fighter like Gonzalez shouldn't be fighting journeymen like this unless he is going to take 3-4 tuneups just to stay busy like Chavez Sr. did in between big fights.

While Chavez Sr took some ****ty tuneups, there's really only guy on his record that seems comparable, which was Craig Houk at 51-23-0 in 1995. The other guys had mostly winning records. Not even Omar Narvaez and Chris John fought someone with that bad of a record.

But it's probably not as uncommon as I thought. Pongsaklek Wonjongkam had some pretty horrible non-defenses while champ. Not guys with losing records, but guys making their debut.

if this guy gets to 118 and rigo calls him out..there will be so much panic and fear..i love roman, but i know some of these fans hear really believe rigo is a boogyman and that none of our faves should fight him..i actually think rigo would go down to 118 and can make it rather easy

No way... Roman is going to be a small 115 pounder, in fact I think he maxes at 115. Rigondeaux is a small SBW but even so he'd be the bigger man if those two ever clash. Rigo would have a 2 inch height advantage and 4 in reach... plus he's a counter puncher and can box from a distance, Roman is incredibly talented but no way does his skill overcome such a daunting task, especially against such a master boxer the likes of Rigo.

Leo seems to be striving for it though. Believe it or not Roman fighting this unworthy challenger still pales in comparison to the back to back sparring partners Leo Sainty enjoys fighting.
