Andy Lee vs. Peter Quillin

For a long time I felt Quillin was the one titleholder Lee could beat. Quillin is very ordinary. But Lee's form has been quite poor as well. The Fitzgerald, Hafner, and Horta performances were diabolical.

But the Korobov fight could change all that. Lee still has many flaws but when he fights with a bit of conviction he's a dangerous operator. The challenge for him here is the likelihood of Quillin fighting very cautiously and forcing Andy to create is own openings. When he took out Jackson and Korobov it was because they were moving in to finish him.

Because Quillin is so mediocre it's an interesting fight. But unfortunately I still have to favour him. I hope I'm wrong. It'd be a truly great moment if Andy stretched him out.

I always wondered why Emmanuel Steward and then HBO were so high on him.
I watched him make so many mistakes in fights that he shouldn't and thought man his team must be really frustrated with him with all of his supposed talent.

He's a good fighter, just never understood the love for him.

I bought the hype in the beginning until I saw major flaws in that first Vera fight. To his credit he adjusted and did well in the rematch.

Quillin is no great fighter either but I see bigger flaws in Lee.

I don't think Andy HAS to get a KO to win...

However, clearly he has to rely on his power & hope that it impacts the fight enough for him to either stop Quillen or influence a decision...

Shoot........voted Quillin by KO but meant Lee. I think Quillin gets tagged and folds up like a lawn chair; fitting ending to a less than fulfilling career.

i dont know and i dont think this is likely but i will pray for a 12-round-comeback-right-hook KO from andy lee.

Quillin is a good fighter, but he's been looking soft.

Lee has been on fire lately. I think he scores an upset.

Pete my "Cuban" brother but I'm ing for Andy on this one... I feel Pete got lucky that the Rosado fight got stopped and something about the way he fights his eyes look like he's coked up or something and when he gets cracked they appear to be bulging out of his skull... Idk it bothers me lol.
Don't even get me started on the GGG debacle.
But yea I'm taking Lee by stoppage he's been running hot lately.

Also if you're going to rep Cuba so hard why not Pedro Qullin?
