That's seemingly where he wants to go with his boxing.

Because of the Garcia's excessive clinching, low blows and headbutts. Doesn't sound too "swift" to me.

He's fighing a top guy in his next fight. He's also beaten enough top guys to prove he is legitimate.
What else would you like for him to do?

Also, a "thumb" or the so-called, "lucky glancing shot," is NOT going to cause a fracture to Lucas eye and the subsequent swelling. He got tagged at some point in the 6th or 7th round to that eye. The swelling did not necessarily have to have occurred immediately after the fracture...
Buncha peasants.

The point I'm making is that regardless of whether Lucas was outboxing Danny or not, or whether the eye injury was a major factor or not, the fight still looked dramatically different to what most people expected.
Danny's resilience was part of the reason for that, but Matthysse resorting to boxing when faced with a boxer is the major reason in my opinion. He was cautious and tentative, and not at all the aggressive fighter we'd seen in the previous few fights.
He was still getting the better of it before the eye-injury, because like I said he's well able to box. But if we're asking why the fight didn't look the way we expected it to, it had more to do with Matthysse's surprisingly tentative approach than it had to do with Danny's chin.
Yeah I agree with this and I think the same will happen if Deontay fights another top heavyweight like Povetkin or Wladimir,People will expect a balls to the wall explosion in round 1 but he'll actually do the wrong thing and show too much respect and try to box and not get hurt
Its a respect thing
