As a Cotto fan, I have to say that I am 99% sure that Canelo more then likely agreed to Cotto's terms and Cotto wasn't in any hurry to sign the contract. Cotto is all about the big money fights. Cotto has earned that right to fight the big money fights, but as a fan, it can be really frustrating. Yea I know, Cotto vs Canelo would have been a big money fight, but Cotto vs Mayweather 2 would a bigger money fight, with less risk. I am sure that the Mayweather team went to the Cotto team to talk about a fight between the two. I am sure the Mayweather team did that, because if they back out of the Pac fight, they would have been punked out of the May 2 date. Yes, Cotto vs Canelo > Floyd vs "some bum".
All that being said, I think Floyd is going to back out of the Pac fight. I was thinking that we were going to end up with Floyd vs Cotto 2 and Pac vs Khan, but I don't think we even end up with that. I think Floyd is going to fight Khan, just to make sure that Pac doesn't have an opponent.Comment

Really? So lets continue to use common sense here. Then why the hell would Canelo wait around? Why would he wait for Cotto who was apparently going to respond to them "on Tuesday." Its just a waste of time. Canelo obviously wants some type of certainty so they can get things underway. What if Pac / Floyd dont decide either way until say, March. Was Canelo supposed to wait around?
You said it yourself, "thats exactly what Cotto was doing", so he wouldnt sign to fight Canelo! Thats where this debate began, We just went full circle and you made my point for me. It didnt need to be this painful.
The bottom line, again, is that Cotto didnt sign. Whatever the reason may be he did not sign. It would have been a great fight and both guys would have made a good deal of money. Now its starting to look like Cotto's posturing came back to bite him. But at least he has fans like you that will defend him to the end.Comment

Really? Thats your response??? This is really ponderous.
Canelo is a fighter with a large audience who generates millions and millions of dollars. He was the guy who didnt win a round against Floyd but was a major part of bringing record revenues for that fight. He is the guy that can get 38 thousand people at a damn football stadium.
