It's a complete mismatch. Perez is a fat bum.

How this joker got an eliminator is beyond me.

No, Perez is a very good heavyweight.

But I agree, coming off the loss to Jennings even though he had a warm-up against Wilson, he shouldn't be in an eliminator just yet. He should have to beat a top 25 or top 35 HW first.

Povetkin is much more skilled and should have his way with Perez and probably stop him late..
Perez will land the occasional hard counter but little else

How is it irrelevant? The winner is the mandatory for Wilders Title.
That is guaranteed millions of dollars to fight a PPV main event at the MGM Grand or Madison Square Garden, The possibility of a unification fight with Klitschko.

Its a pretty big fcking deal if you ask me.

The WBC made the right call. They ordered this fight between their No.1 and No.2 contender, The prize for the winner is a Heavyweight title shot and a **** load of money because of it

It depends on Perez, mental and physical condition coming into the fight.
He has the ability to beat Povetkin if he plays his cards right.

Povetkin is the better fighter, and Perez has looked very bad since the Magomed fight. Povetkin by late stoppage seems to be the likely outcome.

Why has no official announcement been made?

Could it be over the location? Maybe Perez wants Dublin

Fatty has no fanbase whatsoever. If the fight happens, it's in Russia.

Wilder is no PPV fighter btw. He couldn't even draw out 50 people to his home coming parade lol.

Perez is a highly skilled HW, but Povetkin is a class above.

He will eventually beat the living **** out of Perez but Mike has an iron chin so I don't think he'll be succumbing to unconsciousness.

                    Povetkin UD Perez
