  • Out of the names listed, I'g go:

    Duran
    Leonard
    Pernell
    Pac-Jones - Joint
    Hagler
    Hearns
    Floyd
    Lewis
    Klit

Sorry, Fans of Floyd, but his resume - especially for an ATG - Is Sub-Par.

If you have to add statistics such as: Boxer A beat X number of Champs ( Especially in an Era overrun with titles and weight classes ) when Justifying his resume, then you've already destroyed what you are trying to save - from within.

Regarding the old Chestnut - Skills:

Floyd is extremely skilled, so looking like a A force of Nature - when YOU'RE that skilled Doesn't elevate you - it keeps you on a level expected of you.

Pac, not only has a better resume, he has looked better against better opposition.

    • Roy Jones was the most skilled, most thrilling. If he had name guys to fight like Sugar Ray did, his stock would have gone off the charts. Fact is, there was nobody to test him in his time.

Sugar Ray is one of the greatest because he fought everybody. But he also lost to almost all the big names! Hearns beat him once, Duran beat him once and Hagler probably beat him.

Duran is greater than everybody on that list except Pacquiao just because of the terror he was as a lighweight. He had no business fighting as a WW. He was a square welterweight.

Pacquiao is the greatest because of what he has done. His resume is littered with HOFers like Ali's. And when he beats a guy, he BEATS a guy.

As soon as Floyd loses that zero, he will rank with Whitaker. I see no difference between these 2 guys except Floyd managed himself better to keep that zero. A guy that simply fights for decisions should NEVER be an all-timer!

You're trying to re-write history. That's not how it went. Yes Duran beat Leonard.

The Hearns fight was a draw and controversial but since your talking about the big fights this was a relatively insignificant rematch. Leonard won the big one 8 years prior when they were both prime.

Hagler fight was very close but Leonard won whether you like that or not, deal with it.

            Always the case.

Noticed on how he only mentioned Pac/Wlad but doesn't say anything about Lewis, Jones, Whitaker, and Hagler? I don't think those 4 come close in having the resume Pac has. This is coming from a huge Whitaker fan too but dude doesn't have a better resume than Pac.

Pac has the most incredible record. Incredible depth loads of weight classes travelled through, prime legends galore. Whitaker's win over Chavez is obviously better than anything on Pac's record if you want to count it.

                • When this poll is bumped on May 3rd either Floyd or Manny is gonna be getting an insane amount of hype in terms of All-time standing.

                  • I can't see why anybody would vote for Wlad. He's never been in a great career defining fight or beaten a single great fighter in his entire career. He's been KO'd by 3 nobodies and got his brother to avenge his losses for him.

Do you see Wilder/Jennings Joshua beating him? Cos that's how he'll likely go out. And he will probably break Joe Louis's record for defences by the time he's done so he likely will be thought of as one of the best ever by the time he's done.
