No he doesn't "deserve" it in boxing terms. Regardless of his age, he's coming off a whitewash, why should he get a chance against the supermiddleweight champion?

however, he is Bernard Hopkins and that has its perks. Stranger things have happened.

Not really. Hopkins should retire, Froch should fight Chavez.

Yeah, we know Froch beat a guy who was world champion all the way back to the Calzaghe days and has been defending his belts against top contenders.

We know that Ward last fought in 2013 and has no scheduled fight.

          That's what we know.

Put it this way..........BHOP just went 12 rds with Kovalev. How many rounds would Froch go with him? The Alien puts a schooling on Froch and he knows it.

Really? Chavez jr is the one that should be considering retirement, between the two boxers, in my honest opinion. He doesn't take it seriously and would get easily beaten by Froch, not even a competitive match.

Froch would easily outwork Hopkins for a UD. However, Hopkins doesn't bring anything to the plate. He's 50 years old, boring & has no fans. What would Froch get out of it? Hopkins isn't a world champ, he's just Kovalev's b1tch.

What is this sudden groundswell of support for Hopkins going 12 rounds with Kovalev? He got completely destroyed for all 12 rounds and didn't do **** in the fight. He mentally quit and just tried to survive.

                  He went 12 doe

                  Amazing how people spin things.
