It really sucks that Canelo has to beat up Cotto first before we get Golovkin - Canelo.

Cotto has better footspeed, movement, and more championship experience.
Canelo will have handspeed, youth, and size.

Reflex speed will be in Canelo's youthful favor. Both men are very guile when it comes to launching an assault, but I don't think Cotto will be able to deal with the size and speed of Canelo.

Thrilling and brutal stuff although it pretty much went to script. If you come at Canelo he will look really good, especially if you have zero defence like Kirkland but if you can move and stick a good jab then Canelo will struggle.

That's why Cotto is a good opponent. Cotto isn't a stick-and-move fighter, but he has a good jab and his defense is leagues above Kirkland's.

It's an interesting fight. Cotto is the best boxer-puncher Canelo will have faced by some distance. I think the size difference will he too much for Cotto in the end. Pressing Canelo will be too dangerous and he won't be able to win rounds decisively from the outside. Interesting fight, but Canelo should take it.
