Cotto the Diva clearly ducked the fight.
He declined 10 million in March for the fight. They offered him the fight again, on a big PPV night, and after months of negotiations where Canelo's team gave in to all Cotto's demands, Cotto still would not sign. Canelo had enough and moved on. Can't fight someone who doesn't want it.

I think it's understandable for cotto to hold out for a mayweather fight.

Canelo and his team should have considered that there are other factors here other than the "Cotto doesn't want to fight me" angle.
