Nobody is. They just didn't agree to terms. Cotto is known to be a diva in negotiations.

nobody is ducking the other.

cotto is the reason the fight isnt happening but its not because he is ducking alvarez, its because he is holding out for mayweather. mayweather is a tougher fight than canelo so its anything but a duck.

Cotto isn't "ducking" so much as selling his MW title to the highest bidder since he knows he won't be able to keep/defend it.

He probably overestimated how much Canelo was willing to bid and negotiations fell apart, is looking to Floyd now.

It's not really ducking because whether he chooses option A, B, C or D, he's going to lose it anyway. It's just cashing in.
