fck the weed off bro. I smoked heavily (talking up to 5 or more grams a day) for the last 3 years last 6 months was on and off but I've quit for good now, its so much better bro i know it affects people differently but weed at the end of the day is a loser drug you will better at everything you do without it.

Plus vaping is a massive waste of weed very inefficient way to get high.

Your young bro, younger than me and I'm still young. you have plenty of potential to get back into it i think i vaguely remember watching a couple of your vids and you do indeed have talent.
I always think. If Hopkins was able to get this far with limited age & skill, then you always have a chance.
Not everybody can have Jones or Toney talent, but if they try hard enough like Hopkins (or Salido for that matter) then who knows.

Sorry but i have to pick at this post. Hopkins is not a talent on the level of a Roy Jones (no one is) or even Toney but Hopkins is still talented, you don't get to any sort of level without some talent in this sport. Hopkins wasn't super talented in the speed or power departments, (still not slow and a decent puncher) but his co-ordination, chin and boxing brain is indeed talent.

First quit the smoking, then get off the nicotine however you can. I started when I was 12 or 13 and didn't get serious about quitting until my early 30s. Trust me, sooner is better. Oh, and gum and veggie sticks are your friends, so don't be like me and pack on 30lbs. Though if you do gain some weight it's still better than smoking.

If you can hack it, try white knuckling it (cold turkey), in a relaxing environment, with a good distraction, and plenty of gum and healthy munchies. Though it could take well over a week to even get OKish depending on how bad your withdraw is. Personally I can see a 24 hour convenience store from my balcony and can see smokers on the street so that wasn't gonna cut it for me.

Personally I find vaping, the gum, and the mist have have the big flaw that you get the big hit of nicotine just like smoking, then come down-- Repeat. It may make it harder to come off and easier to relapse. The 'quit pills' tend to be based on anti-depressants, and I literally got every side effect, and that really ******. One of the side effects of the pills I was on was that they made me horny. Awesome. Unfortunately they also had me so out of body that I couldn't concentrate enough to keep it up for the only time in my life. Not so awesome. Then layer on dry mouth, night terrors, and sweats. Hey, it may be different for you, but I would never do that again or take a wellbutrin based anti-depressant.

What did work for me was the patch. Don't skimp out and buy the cheap bandage like patches-- I found they began to fizzle after 18 or so of 24 hours. After some experimenting I learned to stick with the Nicoderm patches. They come with instruction and a schedule. Honestly, it's OK if you linger a little longer on each step, or have to go back up. Actually I'd suggest keeping a few patches of the previous step around at all times, that way you can go back up for a day or two if you need to. If cost is an issue the Nicoderm patches are plastic squares with adhesive, so they are easy to cut. Normally step 1 is 21 mg of nicotine, step 2 is 11, and step 3 is 7, and they all cost the same. If you take a 1 and cut it in half you have 2 10.5s. Quarters are 5.25s... Close enough. Also, after you come off the patch keep a couple around.

If you relapse... More like when you relapse. Try to keep it contained to one event. Try not to buy smokes. Don't wake up with smokes. Try not to wake up with paraphernalia. Unless you want to go though the whole process again do your best not to smoke, and FFS if you relapse get the smokes away from you as soon as you can or you'll negotiate yourself into smoking again in no time.

Good luck! You're still young, you can do pretty much anything you want. Even if you don't go pro, not smoking and trying to get in pro shape are good goals that will serve you well into the future.

No worries bro if you can keep it to weekends and no more than weed can be ok, but it needs to go come fight time.

Bro honestly that fight impresses me, for a 13 year old you had real sound technique, really tight and punches were crisp. How many fights did you end up having ?

Get back into it bro, you have really solid potential I'm telling you

                  You are absolutely young enough.

In my opinion you will need but two things: discipline and humility.

I'd suggest to start working on your cardio, it's the most boring part but it's needed after a 2 years lay off.

It will also help you control weight if you stop smoking. A cig now and again is something even professional athletes still do, but of course you need to cut it down a lot.

At your age you should be able to build up cardio rather fast if you are disciplined. After all you don't have to run a maraton, being able to run 10k in around 50 minutes as a max distance should be enough for a mid term objective. It's not something unthinkable if one is dedicated enough.

As for the technical side, remember one never stops to learn, try to find a good gym and don't think you already know it all. It's a mistake I've seen many people do.

                  Best of luck to you!!
