If fighters with less skills and power than Walters could hurt and knock Rigo down, then one would have to be an idiot to assume that Rigo would stand a chance of winning against Walters.

walter's corner throws a towel around round 9-10. it would be pretty one sided fight imo.

you guys overrate him based on his win over a past prime (almost shot to *****) fighter.

ironically, it was rigondeaux who took donaire's prime away.

Gamboa lose that fight bc he didn't adjust to Crawford adjustment..he easily won the first 4 rounds ..it wasn't bc of height/reach....height/reach wasn't an issue early on for Gamboa..he just couldn't deal with the lefty stands..Rigo won't have an issue with Walters height/reach..Rigo makes adjustment the ring..the question is can Walters adjust to Rigo every time.. Rigo beats Walters by UD...

A small 122 vs a very big 126, too big a size difference really.

Walters dominates Rigo dropping him a couple times en route to a UD.

Too big, too strong, too good.

I'll go with walters because of the size differential. Rigo has more skills IMO but wlaters I think would wear him down. Would love to see this fight.

The real question is... can Rigo handle Walters' power? I seriously doubt it. Plus, Gamboa vs Crawford is a completely different scenario. First and foremost Gamboa is extremely offensive and never minds taking risk in order to land his shots, Rigo on the other hand is more economical and picks his shots carefully. Walters isn't just a comeforward brawler who swings for the fences, the man has a very good jab and the Nonito KO displayed his ability to time and counter with power. I just can't see how so many folks believe Rigo would beat Walters by a clear UD,to each his own I suppose.

Donaire wasn't shot to sh.it. That's an extreme exaggeration. That wasn't Walters only fight to look at either.

I think Walters can whip Rigo

vote for walters... like his strength as great a technician as Rigo... walters has the strong determination to whip Rigo.

Skills pays the bills but Rigo's skills can't afford this size differential. He would have to fight a perfect fight to have a chance and I would never bet on any fighter, not even as great as he is, to pull that off.
