Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Training Hard, Sparring Tough For Hammer

Sparring began for real on Monday and it was great to see Tyson and Hughie get put through their paces by a number of quality heavyweights.

For this particular camp we've got Kevin Johnson, the American heavyweight due to fight Anthony Joshua in April, as well as Marcin Rekowski, who is 15-1, and Sean 'Sexy' Turner from Dublin. It's a nice mix of experience and youth.

We've had Kevin twice in camp now and it's always good to have him around. He's a good lad, Kevin, and he's the ultimate professional. He does his job properly. When he's got the bit between his teeth and has a big fight coming up, you get good work out of him. He does what he needs to do and is ideal for what we need. [Click Here To Read More]

Hughie must be in great shape, otherwise Peter Fury would never have matched him against someone of Rudenko's calibre in his first fight back. I'm really looking foreward to seeing how he shapes up now that blood disorder problem is out of the way.

It seems a very risky move. But if he's on form, he could win.

It's a calculated risk that will pay off for him. I think the notion is, you match up your fighter with capable and dangerous opponent, your fighter is gonna train harder, focus more because there is more on the line.

Hopefully. But Hughie is still only 19, and comin off nearly a year layoff.

Rudenko is tough. He doesn't have the skills Hughie has, but he's big and strong. It's an interesting match-up.

More excited for Hughie vs Rudenko than Tyson vs Hammer. Good test for Hughie.
