Losing quality staff hurts the company too.

Any idea who hbo wants him to return against?
Ward freed up, they should try to pursue that again....in Denmark.
No idea who HBO wants, but most likely somebody they don't have to pay almost 2 million for in a tune-up

Froch is most likely out... Ward can't get a fight with HBO or Show... so might as well try to open up that avenue again and see if they'll still pay him... or if HBO would like that

Haymon is out of the picture, but JayZ could get Ward a big fight with other 168 pounders or LHWs. Ward is obviously the lynchpin for this all, but like under Goosen, Ward simply refused to fight after awhile, unless it was a big opponent.
Now Ward is refusing to fight unless it is a bum. Lol. Goosen is indeed chuckling somewhere up there. JayZ paid all this money for Ward and its a deadend. Now that Ward is getting paid, I would've thought he would face the dangerous fighters.
People want to see Ward fight GGG, Kovalev, or perhaps someone like Degale, or Groves. No one is going to watch a tuneup, and the longer he is out the more we have forgotten.
Boxing has the attention span of a fly, and Ward is becoming less and less important all the time.

They're not going to give any to Jay Z for crappy fights, even for good ones, they almost surely don't have any dates to give away.
