I personally wants to see Ward against Degale for a long time. When was the last time we see two olympics gold medalist fight against each other as a pro?People want to see Ward fight GGG, Kovalev, or perhaps someone like Degale, or Groves. No one is going to watch a tuneup, and the longer he is out the more we have forgotten.
Boxing has the attention span of a fly, and Ward is becoming less and less important all the time.Comment

Jay z essentially paid 60 mill for a broadcaster. Funny thing is jay z might not give ward a choice and make his ass fly to Europe and face a livebody just to recoup the money spent on ward. I take it jay z hasn't seen a ward fight? LOLComment

I don't know if he gave him 60 million straight up... but probably on a per fight basis. Might as well... they don't have any other fighters right nowComment

This could be a very good fight, but honestly, I don't think it will happen.
Ward has waited too long, and now no one in the position of Degale is going to fight Ward. Hearn would not allow the fight. Degale has too much to lose.
This is what I mean about Jay Z will have to spend a lot of money to get Ward a good fight, unless Ward is willing to take a risk on someone like Kovalev or GGG.
No one cares about Ward anymore. Already few did, when he was at the top of the game. It's his responsibility to get back into the picture and the only way that happens is against a dangerous opponent, and the only dangerous opponents that want Ward are GGG and Kovalev.
No one like Degale is going to fight Ward unless they get a ton of money. The position Ward is in, and what Ward wants is completely unrealistic. He needs to beat someone like Kovalev to get that buzz and that power back. But he said he will not fight at LHW anytime soon.
And, I don't think Jay Z has any legal or contractual power to force Ward to fight. Already paid him his huge bonus, probably should've tied that bonus to Ward fighting.Comment

Dude signed a contract heard it was worth 60 milli you heard they offered broner around 40 or 50 right? If its true ward might have his back against the wall and make ward fight someone he doesn't want to and outside of his hometown.Comment

Yea, but I was trying to say it wasn't 60 base and given all at once... Broner's was like 5 million per fight over 8 fights or something like that.
People saying he got a 7 figure deal... probably pretty big amounts of money per fight over the course of several yearsComment
