the mauling with occasional pot shots wouldn't do it against a complete fighter like toney. toney would have out worked him imo

at what weight? Toney at his best at 160 was a time when Hopkins was still an up and comer. By the time Hopkins was a force at middleweight, Toney was already fighting at 168 and beyond.

Toney, at his best at 160, beats the best version of Hopkins at 160. I'm more of a Hopkins fan than Toney but I'm just being real. Hopkins was a great fighter at 160 but he wasn't quite as dynamic as Toney, plus Toney carried that extra, one punch KO power. Toney by UD.

trinidad was moving up in weight and too small for hops. dont get me wrong that was one of hops best performances and it was good but toney is just a completely different type of fighter than trinidad. hops always did well with certain styles such as trinidads but toney was just much better defensively than tito and took a much better shot as well
