dont think Arum would throw a hissy fit over 'paperwork' or the 'usual' stuff

This (even at this point) would easily be Floyd's hardest test.. That's why he's taken the easy road until now that he's cornered.
and if Floyd easily beats him like 10-2 what will you say then? Will you acknowledge Floyd as TBE?

My point is that Floyd is the one under pressure because he's insisting on the May 2nd date and it's unlikely Showtime go up against Canelo with another 800k opponent (if it even does that with Canelo as comp).

I don't know why he wants the May date so badly but it's clear he values it for whatever reason.

Even if what you're saying is true (which I doubt), Mikey Garcia would take the fight in a heartbeat. It will not be Vargas.

Lemieux vs anyone decent on the undercard is a good fight. Boxing fans like action and Canelo-Kirkland is guaranteed action.

        A Pacquiao-Matthysse fight would be at 144.

Then explain why he tried to make this fight, why bother the head of CBS to get him involved?
144 is still a welterweight fight. I'm also tired of that trend of fighters and fighting weight for a welterweight champion. You would be too if you were being objective.

Really? Two weeks ago he threw a hissy fit because his side had signed over documents, the networks had agreed and Mayweather was "scared to death." Hmm.

Yeah that was the writer's speculation. I read it more for the facts/quotes.

TBE? NO!... all time one of the best.. maybe.. top 50.. yes..

Hypothetical questions don't matter.. they got to get in there and lace them bad boys up..

If that was the case? What would you call Floyd's career if Manny beats him 10-2? Stops him?

I don't care why he is, just that he is. Lets hope the fight happens.
More a case of dwindling opponents. Mayweather would likely only do marginally better numbers against Rios and Algieri.

Do you have any idea on what he is taxed on that income by the US gov't? I would say no, so please dude no more speculating on your part like the cotto/Floyd BS you floated earlier.

let's just hope for the fight.

FWIW, the inquistr had an article a week ago saying this was a real possibility.
