that's "lawyer talk" that really means nothing is signed. Bob always makes sure to word anything said to the media in a way that he can't be accused of lying later on.

your discussion with evol is the perfect example. Bob says "everything", implying contracts are signed. then evol counters your post with "well he didn't say contracts, specifically", which is in fact "correct".

Pacquiao is no ordinary fighter, like some like to treat him as, he is an excellent fighter with as much experience as May. Floyd has to be as sharp as possible to beat Manny. He's not going to cruise control this fight like he did Canelo and Guerrero because Manny is going to bring it.
        Great post

Whether Floyd would admit it or not both he and Manny will be on unfamiliar ground when they face each other. Fights fcking huge. Bigger than any fight either has ever been a part of.

And that 1 guy isn't the one who has put on countless classic fights.
Lol exactly, they jump on things said in jest and constantly reference these quotes that support their agenda.

They are spin doctors who pretend not to be able to read between the lines.

          • Hype job you're right

Arum is trying to get the fight signed asap

He's not used to leaving little time for promotion

He's rarely if ever done it

When he literally says there is a contract to sign that means there is literally a contract to sign. He didn't say "in principle." That's your personal fantasy.

Just because you want to make up your own version of "what he really meant" doesn't change the fact that he lied about a contract and his own fighter admitted this.

That might not be to your liking but those are facts.

The framework for the contract is agreed upon...not the actual contract....semantics is paramount for lawyers.

                  • This is why Manny deserves some of the blames too even though it was always Floyd and Arum that couldn't get along. The only reason Arum has any say is because Manny let him. If Manny had the same business relationship that Cotto has with Arum, then the fight would've happened years ago. Manny said he's fine with tge May 2nd date, but the old POS is still trying to request another date even though both fighters are fine with the May date, but it's not even about the date, it always boils down to ego, power, and money.

Arum just wants to feel like he's in control, but maybe he should get the memo that Floyd isn't one of his in-house fighters and need to accept that the only reason he's relevant and can pull some power plays in the negotiations is because Manny is too naive for his own good.

You're telling me Clottey would of got the Pacquiao fight no matter what promotional company he was with?

Your answer depends on any future conversations I will have with you.
Well Robert Guerrero and Maidana got to face Floyd, so why is Clottey so bad?

Many thought Clottey beat Cotto and he was ranked #5.
