And I think Wilder's power is vastly overrated. I think all of his opponents have been stopped at some point in their career and 99% of them were journeymen or tomato cans.

I have no doubt that Wlad would've stopped Stiverne. Thats real power.

Heres a good pic of how ripped his calves are

Well I kind of do agree with that anyway, so long as your not referring to squatting type muscle mass, it's definitely the amount of momentary force produced by the legs that contributes to the power of the punch as I think you somewhat stated.

As for Wilder's power, my analogy was a little off base anyhow because I totally agree with you.

Wilder's power is exposed/overrated. It is dangerous against bums mainly but not at top level.

Wladimir would definitely have KOed the Stiverne that showed up that night.

    He hits much harder.

But what if you can have huge force pushing down on the legs but can't naturally put that line of force up through your body?

I think a lot of it is technique. Guys that punch hard are rarely known to use an excessive amount of movement. If you really plant yourself you should be able to crack harder.

big bones in general, i.e. bone density

not trying to come across as a know it all, as i don't know this for certain

but Lucas and GGG's forearms are large for their weight class compared to other guys, if you're hitting somebody with good punching technique and there's more mass inside your arm than someone else with equal punching technique, then

I think planting yourself and getting behind a punch is a big part of it.

Yeah I'd say big fists+wrists definitely help with power.

My uncles were thrashing machines and they both had massive hands.
