I'm talking about a one punch KO to the body. Pac needs to train a KO punch just like JMM trained the punch that KOed Pac. I agree though that body punching is not his thing and I have never seen him throw a counter left hook to the body before. You won't KO Floyd by landing something to his body, he was never even hurt to the body before and all the fighters he fought ****** away at his body because this is the easiest thing to hit, Cotto, Canelo, Maidana, etc... which are BTW much bigger punchers (especially to the body) than Pacquiao, I very seldom see Pacquiao punch to the body anyway, it's just not his thing.Comment

Marquez didn't train the counter right hand he KOed Pacquiao with, he was landing this punch consistently throughout the series of fights they had. This why he was successful against Pacquiao, Pacquiao drops his left hand evertime he uses his right hand for either jabs or hooks and he has 2 or3 feints he uses before he throws the left hand and Marquez knew the feints and adjusted to it perfectly since the first fight.Comment

Sorry but he did train the counter right...Watch any of the HBO 24/7 with Marquez...Nacho said it repeatedly...Marquez didn't train the counter right hand he KOed Pacquiao with, he was landing this punch consistently throughout the series of fights they had. no, marquez never landed that short right hand on pacquiao prior to the 3rd fight, and even then definitely not consistently, he never really even threw it in the fights prior, it was a strategy since the 3rd fight when marquez and co. decided they needed to ko pacquiaoMarquez didn't train the counter right hand he KOed Pacquiao with, he was landing this punch consistently throughout the series of fights they had. you can see him trying it constantly in the 3rd and 4th fight, almost as a counter to everything pacquiao throws, but he landed it only once in the 3rd from what i remember and nothing as well as im sure he was looking to land it(which was catch pacquiao falling into the punch)
an example of him attempting it and missing and settled for an arm punch

here pacquiao was pulling back

marquez in the first 2 fights was alot more upright, 3rd and 4th he adopted a more crouching stanceLast edited by SplitSecond; 02-02-2015, 08:34 AM.Comment

There you can see him land it more than once in the 2nd fight, I still insist that this is not a punch he trained especially for the 4th fight, he's been effective with catching Pacquiao coming in with right hands throughout the 4 fights they had, sometimes he missed with it sometimes he landed it and it was the most effective punch he was landing on Pacquiao throughout the series.
Even in the GIFs u sent, this "arm punch" wobbled Pacquiao and got him off balance and the second one landed FLUSH on Pacquiao and Pacquiao was NOT pulling back while it landed. once Pacquiao tries to attack with his lead foot NOT planted outside, he can be countered, of course it's not easy but a good counterpuncher can catch him often, even Algieri caught him flush with a counter right hand a couple of times but he didn't have any power on them and he didn't have the confidence to stand and counter and he just ran trying to survive.
Bradley caught him with a counter right that lifted both his feet of the ground in the rematch too, Pacquiao has been vulnerable to this punch especially when he doesn't place his lead foot right when he attacks.Last edited by Ahmed_Ismail; 02-02-2015, 11:17 AM.Comment

Floyd doesn't hit hard enough. When is the last time FLoyd has broken down anybodies body? LOL.
He tried that against Maidana and it didn't work. Apparently all Pac has been doing is meditating for 12 hrs a day and sparing like a madman. These sessions are kept top secret but his sparring partners claim Pac has gone insane, he has transcended into a godly killer with one goal on his mind, the death of Floyd Mayweather.Comment

good find, it's basically the same punch but unrefined, he's too far back to land it as devastatingly, more coincidence and a simple counter to a southpaws right jab, the fact that he later refined it into a short punch more or less thrown from the inside shows he trained for it, that and the fact that he "looks" for the punchhttp://********/2OXYhyyAIMc
