Fear of flying doe. So you saying that the undisputed middleweight champion would have to travel to calslappy's home to fight, cuz joe was "scared of flying"? Funny that when hopkins and RJJ got old, he quickly overcame his fear.

Yeah let's just forget about Ortiz deliberate head butt which admittedly he used to break Mayweather's nose.

Or the numerous rabbit punches. Where was the DQ by Cortez?

No Calzaghe agreed to face Hopkins in America. Hopkins backed out of the deal.

Btw why do you care where a fight is held anyway? You say you don't care how much money is offered but you seem to care about location

I cant believe so many people are still jealous of Joe Calzaghe, the man retired years ago. Still sour that he retired undefeated I guess.

Ali was considered past his prime by the time the fight began. In the 60's, Ali was known for being able to avoid getting hit. He was a "dancer" who had slowed by the time the 1974 fight in Zaire had come along. What folks didn't know was how great of a jaw he had, nor did anyone anticipate Ali's boxing brilliance. Even his own trainers were shocked by the "Rope a Dope" strategy.

Also, Ali had previously lost to Joe Frazier and Ken Norton. Both men had been knocked out (in two rounds each) by George Foreman.

We see George Foreman nowadays as this grandfatherly type, a pastor who sells a fat free grill and who has a bunch of kids named George. This was an intentional PR move by Foreman when he returned to the ring in the 1990s. In part, it was his way of making fun of himself for being a 40+ year old ex-champ who was attempting a comeback. The George Foreman of 1974 was a brutal and mean guy who people were (rightfully) scared of. Many folks thought Foreman was going to kill Ali, including some in Ali's camp.

Really? How many times has joe calslappy fought outside of the uk?

Why didn't calslappy fight glen johnson? oh thats right a "back injury" but then calslappy fought someone else a month later.

Also, hopkins was the defending middleweight champion, who just previously beat trinidad yes? They were also in different divisions. Hopkins being in the middleweight and calslappy being in the super middle. They offered hopkins 3 mil to move up and fight calslappy, he said 6 mill and the fight was completely off, not that hopkins backed out.

He said $6million because he knew it wasn't available. $3m would have been his highest ever purse. I thought you didn't care about money LOL....so why are you defending Hopkins?
