Questionable ethics obviously but not a questionable stoppage.

Calzaghe has like 5 or so ridiculous premature stoppages.

Rankings are citied all the time, no one other than Pacquaio comes close to beating the number Floyd has. Calzaghe was a pityful 3.

Anyway, just highlighting the (many) differences.
    the fight was stopped right?

    it was questionable right?

it was in essence a questionable stoppage.

      What was questionable about it?

Ortiz got hit with a legal punch and didn't beat the count.

Only thing that was questionable was Floyd's ethics.

floyd's ethics and joe cortez refereeing the fight.

legal sucker punch = questionable stoppage.

Again, there's nothing questionable about the stoppage itself.

The punch was completely legal, and Ortiz couldn't beat the 10 count.

Even if you critisized the ethtics and the refs performance, he wasn't wrong in calling time in, which he did, and the punch was entirely legal and Ortiz wasn't stopped prematurely.

Based on shapoopee's gay F'n favorite's list, I think this dude is serious. Guy must be English or something. Where's your favorite Pet Sop Boys list?

I'm certain Cortez would have DQ'd Ortiz if he did that to Floyd, no way he would have got away with it.

Havent read the op or anything in the thread except the title but anyone claiming Joe Calzaghe is TBE needs to stop what their doing and take a taxi to the nearest mental hospital to get checked out! No time for even discussing the notion of that nonsense

The Only question is whether or not Ortiz WANTED to get up....

For the record i Loved that ****, Ortiz was way out of line with the illegal headbutt and Floyd showing little sportsmanship in his legal KO was an apt response!

I doubt but that's speculation either way.

What we know is the punch was legal, and Ortiz didn't beat the count.

                    That's not a questionsble stoppage.

Questionable ethics and questionable reffing (looking away)

But time was in and the punch was legal.

If Ortiz was waved off early it could be considered questionable but he was down for a 10 count.

Yeah I think he could have got up aswell.

I agree with the rest also.

                      Ortiz deserved it.
