Three of the four leading professional boxing organizations, the World Boxing Council, the World Boxing Association and the International Boxing Federation are moving towards crowning one world champion in each weight division.

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman, in an interview with BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard/Viva Sports said that in the next meeting of the three world organizations one of the topics on the agenda would be "a tournament of champions with champion against champion in some divisions" for a start.

In other words: the "big sanctioning bodies" are so afraid of what Al Haymon just started, that they almost agreed to "sanction" the "unified" world champion for each division...

From my understanding, the WBO belt is basically a Top Rank belt... I agree they will regret it eventually.

What does Bob arum have on the WB0?? it must really be something that would put them to complete and utter shame..this has went on for 2 years or more where the WBO had hidden in the shadows...I really think bob has the scoop on the WBO and Manny thats why neither will break or fracture ties with him..and yes their title is going to lose luster..FAST

You really have to wonder what the second rate WBO have against this relationship.

bob arum probably has dirt on them that makes them do as he says...just like i think he has dirt on manny...
thats the only plausible reason imo
